Shiborizome-Brown
This retro paper brings us back to the 60’s, the heyday of tie-dye. Shiborizome, the Japanese word for tie-dying, begins by gathering portions of this soft mulberry paper together and wrapping them tightly with threads before dyeing. The dyed sheets are then allowed to dry before the thread is removed, to maintain the textured surface. The thread and the gathers resist the dye, creating the pattern.
