Golden Dragons-Celadon Blue

Mythical golden dragons shoot blazing fireballs against a dreamy celadon sky in this lokta paper from Nepal. The dragon has long been a symbol of supernatural powers in Chinese folklore and art. Other cultures believe that the dragon is divine in nature due to its association with water and rivers. They are also associated with wisdom, longevity and believed to possess some form of magic such as granting wishes and speaking in the human language. Whichever you choose to believe, the artwork of this screenprint is as fascinating to study as the cultural beliefs behind these creatures.
