Checkerboard Lokta-Black
This embossed checkerboard pattern is handmade from the Lokta bush in Nepal. The paper is bathed in a non-toxic Azo dye, then hand embossed with a patterned template and dried naturally in the sun with the template still in place. The brighter the sun, the darker the exposed areas of the embossing, melding the two techniques of solar “sun washing” and embossing into one gorgeous paper. Acid Free, this paper lends itself to bookarts, decor/design, paper crafts and more.
