This butterfly lamp was created by artist and blogger Melinda Gleissner. First she aligned the four translucent liners (included in the Paper Fusion Lamp Kit) on a flat surface, butting them together, then stamped them using the Butterfly Trio from the Stampendous Jumbo Cling stamp collection. For the ink, she used Tsukineko Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, then hand colored them with Copic markers before gluing them to the inside of the wooden frames and assembling the lamp.
What makes this lamp idea extra cool is the way she stamped some of the butterflies so that the design would “wrap around” onto the next panel as you turn the lamp. How innovative! Check out her blog to see her step by step instructions.
