Cut 7 strips of miscellaneous colored textured papers, about 1/4″ wide and 9″ long and set aside. Then cut a sheet of black crocodile paper to 4″ x 6″ and using an exacto knife, cut random curved “smile” and “frown” slits into the paper. Weave the first 1/4″ strip through every other slit opening. Continue with the remaining strips. The angle the strips the same way and tape down from the back. Trim off the excess. Mount to a larger piece of 5″ x 7″ Gold Metallic paper, then glue finished piece to the front of a 5″ x 7″ card.
Slits can also be done as wavy slits, straight slits, diagonal slits or whatever you desire!
